Figure 1. Planned areas of work and objectives of the RAD project
We performed the end of project evaluation through:
- the review of 23 project-related documents
- the conduct and analysis of 20 key informants’ interviews
We developed a detailed report and evidence tables to provide information on the following evaluation objectives:
-
Assess how the RAD project was conceived and implemented to respond to priority needs of the targeted beneficiaries (relevance)
-
Assess how the RAD project was consistent and compatible with other interventions occurring for the targeted beneficiaries (coherence)
-
Describe the achievement of the RAD project objectives and planned results (effectiveness)
-
Assess the intended and unintended effects of the RAD project on its beneficiaries, mainly WAHO, IGAD and targeted cross-border mobile populations (impact)
-
Assess the extent to which the net benefits of the intervention and implemented results are likely to continue (sustainability)
-
Assess how good practices in project implementation have been met
-
Provide recommendations to inform and improve future programme planning and implementation
