Objective: Support the Ministry of Health in Kyrgyzstan in the implementation of a public health emergency operations centre and in the development of its integrated epidemiological platform

Deliverables:

  • Detailed specifications for the integrated epidemiological platform of the public health emergency operation centre
  • Draft legislative order to support the officialization and implementation of the public health emergency operation centre
  • Draft standard operating procedures for the public health emergency operation centre

Performed activities

In 2020, we supported the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan in the implementation of a public health emergency operations centre and in the development of an integrated public health information system (https://www.sigia.pt/projects/kyr/) .

In 2021 we pursued this support:

  • We provided a draft legislative order to support the officialization and implementation of the public health emergency operations centre
  • We developed draft standard operating procedures for:
    • Immediate reporting of unexpected events
    • Deployment of rapid response teams
    • Media monitoring
    • Verification of potential acute public health events
    • Investigation and risk assessment of potential health emergencies
  • We finalized the technical specifications of the integrated epidemiological platform and monitored its technical development
