Our story
Sigia is an independent consultancy providing specialized support in the field of public health to governments, national and international health and development agencies, as well as civil society organizations.
Sigia was founded in 2019 by two medical specialists in public health. The consultancy now includes partners and associate consultants with experience in countries and organizations from around the world.
We use state-of-the-art and sound methodology from different fields of research to provide clear and transparent results.

Myrtille Prouté, MD, MSc
Medical public health specialist with expertise in global health and epidemiology. Dr Myrtille Prouté has experiences in Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Thailand), Africa (Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Republic of Congo) and Eastern Europe (Georgia). She is a native French speaker with additional proficiency in English.

Ibukun Abejirinde, MD, PhD
Global health professional and postdoctoral researcher, with a research focus on health policy and systems research, digital health, and maternal, sexual and reproductive health. Dr Ibukun Abejirinde has worked for the Antwerp Institute of Tropical Medicine and has experiences in Sub-Saharan Africa (Ghana, Rwanda) and in Eastern Europe (Georgia). She is a native English speaker.
Alexandre Blake, MD, MSc
Medical public health specialist with expertise in field epidemiology. Dr Alexandre Blake has worked for Epicentre and has experiences in Sub-Saharan Africa (Togo, Guinea, Uganda, DRC, Zambia), in the Caribbean (Haiti) and Eastern Europe (Azerbaijan). He is a native French speaker with additional proficiency in English.
Florentina Rafael, PhD
Public health doctor with expertise in field epidemiology and mental health. Florentina Rafael has worked for the World Health Organization and Epicentre, and has experiences in Sub-Saharan Africa (Benin, DRC, Malawi, Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania). She is a native French and Portuguese speaker with additional proficiency in English.
Daniel Gulati, MD, MSc
Medical specialist with expertise in global health and health policy. Dr Daniel Gulati has worked for the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. He is a native German speaker with additional proficiency in English.
Bárbara Frossard Pagotto, MSc
Policy Analyst with a strong academic background in International Relations and Politics, and an experience focused on global health research and international cooperation in health. Bárbara Pagotto has worked for the Brazilian Ministry of Health. She is a native Portuguese speaker with additional proficiency in English and French.
Métrey Tiv, MD, MMSc
Medical public health specialist with expertise in global health and socio-anthropology of health. Dr Métrey Tiv has worked for Epicentre, MSF Evaluation, Penn State University, and Karolinska Institutet. She has experience in France, Benin, Ivory Coast, Niveria, and Thailand.
